Legacy and Motherhood
The legacy I leave today
Is the life that I lead this day
they will remember the things I say
where I go and how I play
They don’t care how much I weigh
or if my hair is all grey
Seeing me seek God’s Way
and on my knees to pray
The times that I stray
and when I obey
those are all on display
Making gifts of crochet
date nights and letting them pay
Hugs and kisses without delay
memories that will continually replay
I hope the bad is forgotten when I fly away
that they remember that I was just clay
Praying they show mercy when they survey
The legacy I leave today
Proverbs 31:30-31~ Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
