The Legacy I Leave Today

The legacy I leave today

Is the life that I lead this day

They will remember the things I say

Where I go and how I play

They don’t care how much I weigh

Or if my hair is all grey

Seeing me seek God’s Way

And on my knees to pray

The times that I stray

And when I obey

Those are all on display

Making gifts of crochet

Date nights and letting them pay

Hugs and kisses without delay

Memories that will continually replay

I hope the bad is forgotten when I fly away

That they remember that I was just clay

Praying they show mercy when they survey

The legacy I leave today

I'd love to hear from ya on this!
